Kaye Dallow

Co-Founder and Principal Counsellor

Master of Educational Practice, Master of Guidance and Counselling, Member of Australian Counselling Association

Following 15 years working to support children, adolescents and parents, Shifting Sands was founded in order to broaden my reach, allowing access to better mental health. With two Masters under my belt, one in Education and the other in Counselling, my passion to teach others and guide them toward a happier and more content version of themselves, is backed up with theory and practice.

Following many years of devouring self help books, reading autobiographies, listening to professionals, getting therapy myself, and studying two post-graduate degrees in education and counselling, I am now able to share my journey toward greater self awareness and understanding with a sound theoretical base. Through my own personal journey of self discovery, finding hope, gratitude, happiness and fulfilment, I found that my true passion was in helping others to apply these tools and principles to their own lives. Having felt like an outsider my whole life and lacking in self esteem, I can now say that I truly accept and love who I am. I want to share this with you.

I provide a non-judgemental environment offering trust and empathy to support inner healing and growth. My mission is to share my knowledge, tools and resources and support others to find ways to uncover and find their true potential.I have the lived experience of working through trauma and coming out at the other end as a much better and happier version of myself. I will honour your journey and sit with you as we rediscover your narrative and find a new pathway for the future.

We believe that we can all benefit from the insight gained through mental health support, as we have all experienced a range of challenges and could utilise new ways of living in order to reach our true potential. All of the work carried out is founded upon unconditional positive regard, respect, compassion, empathy and love.

We all want to live in a state of mental well-being. Sometimes we simply need a little support, encouragement or guidance to help us manage what life throws at us.
