Co-Founder and Principal Psychologist

Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), Master of Psychology (Clinical) Member of Australian Psychological Society

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Maddy. I’m a registered Psychologist with a passion for wellbeing and a holistic approach to mental health. I’ve completed six years of formal university training and am currently undertaking the clinical psychology registrar program in order to become registered as a Clinical Psychologist. Over the better part of a decade, I’ve learnt a lot about the science-y research things to register as a mental health practitioner. Don’t get me wrong – the clinical nature of my training has taught me a lot about the brain, our cognitions, our belief systems, attachment, the way we connect with others, how we process events and so on – I could keep going forever! However, my passion for mental health stems far beyond the textbooks.

I celebrate the uniqueness and differences in every individual and believe the approach to mental health should be holistic, tailored and client-centred to best suit your needs and goals. I am fully invested in every individual I see and will walk alongside you on this journey, at whichever pace you need. I am passionate about supporting individuals of all ages including children, adolescents and adults, and have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, coping and adjustment, health-related struggles, and attachment. I have experience working within a variety of settings including university clinics, primary schools, and hospital settings within medical wards and oncology, working alongside GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists, case managers, social workers, teachers, and other support staff to provide best care to clients.

We believe that we can all benefit from the insight gained through mental health support, as we have all experienced a range of challenges and could utilise new ways of living in order to reach our true potential. All of the work carried out is founded upon unconditional positive regard, respect, compassion, empathy and love.

We all want to live in a state of mental well-being. Sometimes we simply need a little support, encouragement or guidance to help us manage what life throws at us.
